Ses 5 000 à 7 500 officiers et soldats travaillent partout sur le territoire, au centre Urim dans le désert du Néguev, l’une des plus grandes bases d’écoutes mondiales, ou au quartier général de Glilot Junction, près de Ramat Hasharon, où la crème des start-up a ses buildings. Parmi elles, le groupe NSO, le top du top de la cybersécurité, accusé d’avoir vendu son logiciel espion Pegasus à des régimes autoritaires et dont un quart des 800 employés proviennent de l’Unité 8200.
